By using SSL Studio, you agree to these terms of service. Please read them carefully.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using SSL Studio, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
Service Description
SSL Studio provides:
- SSL/TLS certificate checks for public domains — validity, trust, hostname coverage and chain completeness
- An SSL certificate expiry countdown
- Certificate detail including SANs, key information, signature algorithm and fingerprints
- Educational articles about certificates and web trust
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Acceptable Use
You May:
- Use the service to check certificates on domains you own or are authorised to test
- Use the service to inspect the public certificates of third-party domains for legitimate purposes
- Use the service for educational and research purposes
You May Not:
- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Use the service as part of an attack against any host or network
- Abuse or overload our infrastructure with excessive or automated requests
- Attempt to use the service to reach private, internal or non-public hosts
- Use automated tools to bypass rate limits
- Misrepresent your affiliation with SSL Studio or DNS Studio
The checker connects only to public domains on the standard HTTPS port and refuses IP literals, internal names and private address ranges by design.
Rate Limiting
To ensure fair usage and availability, we may apply rate limiting. Excessive usage may result in temporary restrictions. For high-volume needs, please contact us.
Service Availability
While we aim for high availability, we do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- 100% uptime or availability
- That every certificate check will succeed — some servers may be unreachable, slow, or misconfigured
- The accuracy or completeness of any result
Certificate results reflect what a server presented at the moment of the check and are provided for information only. You are responsible for verifying and acting on certificate issues on systems you control. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Intellectual Property
SSL Studio and the DNS Studio suite, including their content and design, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- SSL Studio is provided "as is" without warranties
- We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service
- We are not responsible for certificate check results or their accuracy
- You use the service at your own risk
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
